Υφάσματα

Το Α και το Ω στο τελικό αποτέλεσμα. Τα υφάσματα αλλά και τα χρώματα είναι αυτά που θα κλέψουν την εντύπωση. Η τεχνική μας θα φανεί με δεύτερη ματιά. Η σωστή παράθεση αλλά και ο συνδυασμός υφασμάτων είναι αυτά που θα τραβήξουν αρχικά το μάτι μας σε ένα κομμάτι πάτσγουωρκ.

Εννοείται ότι μπορούμε να φτιάξουμε πάτσγουωρκ με ό,τι είδος υφάσματος βάλουμε στο μυαλό μας. Ωστόσο, ας ασχοληθούμε στην αρχή με τα βαμβακερά και ας αφήσουμε τα άλλα υφάσματα για αργότερα, όταν έχουμε πια εξοικειωθεί.

Το παραδοσιακό πάτσγουωρκ γίνεται με βαμβακερά υφάσματα, που έχουν πάχος όπως πχ τα σεντόνια μας. Τα υφάσματα από βαμβακερά πουκάμισα επίσης μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, όμως, αν χρησιμοποιήσουμε παλιά υφάσματα, καλό θα είναι να αφαιρέσουμε τα σημεία που είναι ξεθωριασμένα ή πάρα πολύ φθαρμένα.

Αν τα υφάσματα που σκοπεύετε να χρησιμοποιήσετε, είναι καινούργια, είναι στη διακριτική σας ευχέρεια να τα πλύνετε πριν τα χρησιμοποιήσετε. Εγώ πλένω μόνο αυτά που έχω την υποψία ότι μπορεί να ξεβάψουν. Ωστόσο, μου έχει τύχει ακόμα και αυτά να τα χρησιμοποιήσω χωρίς να έχουν προπλυθεί και με μια χρωμοπαγίδα στο πλυντήριο, να βγει το τελικό μου έργο άθικτο.

Όπως έχουμε πει και στο πρώτο μάθημα, μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε υφάσματα που έχετε ήδη στο σπίτι, αλλά και υφάσματα που θα αγοράσετε στα διάφορα καταστήματα, στη λαϊκή (μερικές φορές ανακαλύπτει κανείς απρόσμενα όμορφα βαμβακερά και σε καλές τιμές) είτε στο Διαδίκτυο. 

Στο Διαδίκτυο ή στο εξωτερικό μπορεί να βρει κανείς υφάσματα, όχι μόνο με το μέτρο, αλλά και έτοιμα κομμένα. Πολύ συνηθισμένο στο εξωτερικό είναι να αγοράζει κανείς fat quarters (όποιος σκεφτεί Ελληνικό όνομα, είναι ευπρόσδεκτο). Έχοντας υπόψη ότι μια γιάρδα είναι περίπου 36 επί 42 ή 44 ίντσες (τα δύο νούμερα είναι γιατί μπορεί να έχουμε διαφορετικό φάρδος στο ύφασμα), τότε ένα fat quarter είναι 18 επί 21 ή 22 ίντσες (46 επί 53 ή 56 εκατοστά). Υπάρχουν επίσης τα fat eights που είναι μισά fat quarters. Ακόμα, υπάρχουν έτοιμες κομμένες λωρίδες σε συγκεκριμένο πάχος, αλλά και έτοιμα κομμάτια σε διάφορα σχήματα (καρδιές, πεταλούδες κτλ).

Ωστόσο, το γεγονός ότι στην Ελλάδα δεν έχουμε ακόμα τα παραπάνω, καθόλου δε θα πρέπει να μας αποτρέψει από το να κάνουμε πάτσγουωρκ, γιατί μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τα υφάσματα που μας αρέσουν και να τα κόψουμε μόνοι μας.

Τα ίδια βαμβακερά υφάσματα χρησιμοποιούμε συνήθως για να βάλουμε και στην πίσω μεριά του καπιτοναρισμένου μας τελικού έργου. Θυμηθείτε ότι το ύφασμα που έχουμε κάνει πάτσγουωρκ μπαίνει επάνω, στη μέση μπαίνει η βάτα και από κάτω ένα άλλο κομμάτι ύφασμα. Η σύγχρονη τάση στο πάτσγουωρκ οδηγεί μερικές φορές και την πίσω πλευρά στο να έχει κάποια στοιχεία πάτσγουωρκ. Αυτό είναι καθαρά θέμα γούστου. Αν ακολουθήσετε τα παλιά χνάρια, τότε τα σεντονόπανα είναι η πιο οικονομική επιλογή. Φροντίστε όμως, σε κάθε περίπτωση, να ταιριάζει το πίσω ύφασμα με το μπροστινό και τα δύο μαζί να ταιριάζουν με το ρέλι που θα ενώσει και τα τρία στρώματα και θα βάλει την τελική πινελιά.

Απόθεμα σε υφάσματα

Αν αρχίσετε να ασχολείστε με την τεχνική του πάτσγουωρκ και σκέφτεστε να δημιουργήσετε κάποιο απόθεμα, τα παρακάτω θα σας είναι χρήσιμα: Όταν πηγαίνουμε βόλτα στα καταστήματα και μας αρέσει ένα ύφασμα, μια καλή ιδέα είναι να πάρουμε ένα μέτρο, για να το έχουμε στο απόθεμά μας. Αν πάλι βγαίνουμε να ψωνίσουμε για κάτι συγκεκριμένο, διαλέγουμε προσεκτικά τα σχέδια και τα χρώματα, ώστε να ταιριάζουν μεταξύ τους και παίρνουμε ακόμα και από μισό μέτρο που συνήθως είναι το ελάχιστο που μας κόβουν τα περισσότερα καταστήματα υφασμάτων. Οπωσδήποτε στο απόθεμά μας θα πρέπει να έχουμε και απλά χρωματιστά υφάσματα χωρίς σχέδια. Αυτά είναι που θα αναδείξουν τα υπόλοιπα. Και μην ξεχνάτε. Το απόθεμά μας σε υφάσματα χτίζεται σιγά-σιγά.

Βάτες

Η βάτα (batting Αμερικάνικά ή wadding στα Αγγλικά ή filler) είναι το υλικό εκείνο που μπαίνει ανάμεσα στα δυο βαμβακερά υφάσματα, προκειμένου να δώσει όγκο, ενδιαφέρουσα υφή αλλά και ζεστασιά. Οι βάτες είναι βαμβακερές, μάλλινες, αμιγώς συνθετικές ή και σύμμικτες, δηλαδή σε κάποιο ποσοστό συνθετικές και σε κάποιο έχουν φυσική ίνα, μαλλί ή βαμβάκι. Το τι θα αποφασίσετε να χρησιμοποιήσετε είναι καθαρά θέμα δικό σας. Είναι γεγονός ότι στην Ελλάδα δεν έχουμε πολλές επιλογές σε βάτες με φυσικά υλικά. Ωστόσο το Kangaroo στην Αθήνα, συνήθως έχει βαμβακερές βάτες μετά τον Οκτώβριο. Αν έχουν κι άλλα καταστήματα και δεν το έχουμε ακόμα ανακαλύψει, χαρά μας να το πληροφορηθούμε και να το συμπληρώσουμε.

Κλωστές

Η απλή 100% βαμβακερή κλωστή που χρησιμοποιούσαν οι μαμάδες μας και εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει ακόμα, είναι ό,τι μας χρειάζεται.

  

Νομίζω ότι εδώ σταματάμε τη θεωρία και πάμε την άλλη εβδομάδα να φτιάξουμε το πρώτο μας έργο που σκέφτομαι να είναι κάτι απλό. Ας πούμε, ένα μαξιλαράκι για να δοκιμάσουμε σε πρώτη φάση μόνο την τεχνική του πάτσγουωρκ.

Fabric

The most essential element. Fabric and color are the twofirst things that will draw our attention. Our technique will come second. The right position of the fabric pieces and the color combination is the most attractive on patchwork.

It is obvious that patchwork can be made with every kind of fabric. However, let' s deal with cotton fabric for the moment and leave the rest for later.

Traditional patchwork is made with cotton fabric, like our sheets. Shirt fabric is also ok. In any case, please have in mind that should you use recycled fabric, it is advisable to remove any piece faded or very used.

If the fabric is new, it is up to you whether you pre-wash it or not, before use it. I wash it only if I thing that it might behave bad in the washing machine. However, I have used such fabric without pre-washing and when I washed my final project with a color catcher, nothing happened.

As already mentioned on the first lesson, you may use fabric you already possess, as well as fabric you can buy in fabric stores or on the Internet. 

On the Internet or abroad one may get fabric not just by yard/meter, but even precut. It is also very common to buy  fat quarters, meaning one quarter of an inch (18*21 or22" depending on the fabric width or 46 * 53 or 56cm). There are also fat eights which are half fat quarters. Pre-cut stripes in various widths as well as various shapes (hearts, butterflies etc) are available on the Internet or outside Greece.

However, if you live in a country that the above mentioned are not available, like they are not in Greece, please do not let this keep you away from patchwork, because we can always use fabric we like and cut it accordingly.

Same kind of cotton fabric is used as backing for our project. Please let me remind you that the patchwork comes on the top of our project, then comes the batting ant last comes another piece of fabric. Modern quilts have some patchwork on the back side as well. This is totally up to you. Should you make traditional quilts, then sheets fabric is an excellent choice from money point of view. In any case, you should take care of the back fabric to suit to the front side of your project and both of them to suit with binding which will unify all three layers.

Fabric stash

If you start making patchwork and think of having a stash, the following may be usefull: When you go shopping and you like a fabric, it is a good idea to buy a meter / a yard in order to add it to your stash. On the other hand, if you go shopping for something very specific, take care to choose carefully the design and the colors, so that everything matches. In this case we buy even half a meter/yard (this is the minimum quantity in Greece in most shops). Solid color fabric is always necessary. Solid colors help the other designs pop up. And please have always in mind that our stash grows gradially.

Batting (or wadding in English or filler)

This is the material that we put between the two pieces of cotton fabric. It is the batting that makes our project more fluffy, gives more interesting texture and makes the final product warmer. Batting is made of cotton, wool or of blends of various fibres. It is up to you to choose.  It is a fact that it is not easy to get batting with natural fibres in Greece. However, Kangaroo shop in Athens brings some cotton batting during lessons period. You may always order on the Internet.

 

Thread

The 100% cotton thread is a good choice in order to start.

I think that we have so far had enough theory. Let's proceed to our first project next week. One pillow seems simple enough to be our first project. Let' s work just on the patchwork of the pillow on our next lesson. 

Flower fairy Quilt / Πάπλωμα παιδικό με νεραϊδάκια

Να κι άλλο ένα πάπλωμα με πάτσγουωρκ, πάλι χωρίς οδηγίες βήμα - βήμα, γιατί κι αυτό έχει τελειώσει στην προ blog εποχή. Το κεντρικό πάνελ απεικονίζει ένα από τα λουλουδονεραϊδάκια της Cecily Mary Barker, ενώ πλαισιώνεται από πάτσγουωρκ με μακρόστενες λωρίδες. Το  πάπλωμα έχει καπιτοναριστεί στη μηχανή και το εσωτερικό του είναι 100% βαμβακερό.  Η τελική του διάσταση είναι για παιδική κούνια.

There you have another quilt, again without tutorial because it was made before I set up the blog. The main panel has one of Cecily Mary Barker's flower fairies and it is surrounded by patch worked fabric in long stripes. It has been machine quilted and the batting is cotton 100% . It is a crib size quilt.

Et voila une autre courtepointe, sans tutoriel pour encore une fois, car elle a été faite avant que j'ai mis en place le blog. Sur le panneau central on peut voir une des fées des fleurs de Cecily Mary Barker.   Autour du panneau il y a du patchwork en longues bandes. Le quilting a été fait a la machine à ouate 100% coton. Il s'agit d'une couette taille berceau.

Aquí tengo otra colcha sin tutorial, porque fue hecha antes de que cree el blog. En el panel central se puede ver una hada de flor de Cecily Mary Barker. Alrededor del panel hay patchwork en tiras largas. El acolchado se hizo para en la máquina y el bateo es de algodón 100%. 

Η πίσω του πλευρά είναι επίσης βαμβακερή σε μονόχρωμο σωμόν χρώμα με λωρίδες πράσινες.

Back side is also cotton 100% in salmon color with green stripes

Le cote arrière est également 100% coton de couleur saumon avec des bandes vertes

La parte trasera también es de algodón 100% en color salmón con tiras verdes

Λεπτομέρεια από το κεντρικό πάνελ. Το καπιτονάρισμα έχει γίνει εδώ με ελεύθερο γαζί που ακολουθεί τα φτερά, το φόρεμα και τα μαλλιά, ενώ ορισμένα κομμάτια έχουν μείνει ελεύθερα για να έχουν περισσότερο όγκο.

Patchwork again and some sewing - Και πάλι πάτσγουωρκ και λίγη ραπτική

Σήμερα θα σας δείξω πώς έφτιαξα μια θήκη για τα εργαλεία που χρειάζομαι να παίρνω μαζί μου στο πάτσγουωρκ και στη ραπτική. Μέχρι τώρα τα έβαζα σε ένα νεσεσεράκι αλλά ανακατεύονταν, ενώ τώρα......

Today I will show you how I made a case for the notions I need to have with me when I make patchwork or sewing.

Aujourd'hui, je vais vous montrer comment j'ai fait qq'chose pour les outils dont j'ai besoin quand je fais patchwork ou couture. 

Hoy se mostraré cómo he hecho algo para las nociones de costura que necesito tener conmigo en patchwork y sastrería.

Στην αρχή σχεδίασα τη θήκη στο μυαλό μου. Επειδή ήθελα οπωσδήποτε και λίγο πάτσγουωρκ, αποφάσισα την εξωτερική πλευρά να την κάνω έτσι. Γι' αυτό κι έκοψα τα κοματάκια μου.

At first I made the design on my mind. Because I wanted the external side to be patchwork, I also cut the small pieces.

Au début, j'ai fait le dessin par imagination. Parce que je voulais la tissue exterieure que soit patchwork, j'ai aussi coupé les petits morceaux.

Al principio hizo el diseno en mi mente. Quería la parte exterior con patchwork y por eso corte las piezas pequenas tambien.

 Στη συνέχεια τοποθέτησα επάνω τα εργαλεία μου για να δω πώς με βολεύουν. Στην αριστερή πλευρά θέλησα να βάλω μια τσέπη για τα διάφορα. Εξ άλλου μια τσέπη πάντα χρειάζεται.

Then I put up my notions to see how they suit me. On the left side I wanted to put a pocket for miscellaneous. Besides, a pocket is always needed.

Ensuite, j' ai mis mes outils pour voir quel arrangement serait mieux. Sur le côté gauche, j'ai voulu mettre une poche pour accessoires. De toute façon, une poche est toujours nécessaire.

Entonces puse mis nociones para ver la forma en que me conviene. En el lado izquierdo quería poner un bolsillo para varios. Además, un bolsillo es siempre necesario.

Βρήκα μέσα στο "συρτάρι του χαμού" λάστιχο από κάποιο παλιό μποξεράκι, έκοψα τα μεγέθη που ήθελα και τα τοποθέτησα με καρφίτσες επάνω στην εσωτερική πλευρά. Εβαλα και το φερμουάρ για να το ράψω πρώτα πάνω στη βάση.

I found in my drawer elastic from an old boxer, I cut the preferred sizes and pinned them on the inner side. I put the zipper in order to sew it first on the base.

J'ai trouvé dans mon tiroir des morceaux d' élastique  j' ai  coupe ce que j' en avais envie et je les ai placés avec des épingles sur le cote intérieur  J'ai mis la fermeture a glissière pour pouvoir le coudre tout d'abord sur la base.

He encontrado en mi cajón elastico, me corté las piezas que necessito y les he puesto con alfileres en la cara interior. Puse la cremallera para coser en primer lugar en la base.

Έραψα πρώτα τα λάστιχα πάνω στη βάση και στη συνέχεια το φερμουάρ.

I sewed the pieces of elastic on the base and then the zipper.

J' ai cousu les pieces d'élastique sur la base et ensuite la fermeture a glissière.

Cosí las piezas de elastico en la base y después  la cremallera.

Εραψα και την επάνω πλευρά της τσέπης στο φερμουάρ

I sewed the top side of the zipper to the pocket.

J'ai cousu le côté supérieur de fermeture a glissière à la poche.

Cosí el lado superior de la cremallera al bolsillo.

Έχω ήδη ετοιμάσει το ύφασμά μου με το πάτσγουωρκ που θέλω. Τα κομματάκια που χρησιμοποίησα ήταν 2,5". Επίτηδες δεν δίνω διαστάσεις για όλο το έργο, γιατί αυτό μπορεί να γίνει ανάλογα με το τι θέλει να βάλει κάποιος μέσα. Αυτό που έχει σημασία σε αυτό το project, είναι η σειρά που γίνονται τα πράγματα.

I have already prepared the patchwork. The pieces I used was 2.5". I do not give specific dimensions for the whole project on purpose, because it can be done in any dimension, depending on what you want to put inside. What is important in this project, is the order things happen.

J'ai déjà préparé le patchwork. Les pièces que j'ai utilisé était de 2,5". Je ne donne pas des dimensions spécifiques pour l'ensemble du projet, car il peut être fait dans n'importe quelle dimension. Ce qui est important dans ce projet, c' est l' ordre avec la quelle est tout fait.

Ya he preparado el patchwork. Las piezas que utilicé fue de 2,5". Yo no doy dimensiones específicas para todo el proyecto a propósito, ya que se puede hacer en cualquier dimensión, dependiendo de lo que usted quiere poner en su interior. Lo qué es importante en este proyecto, es la prioridad de las cosas.

Ετοιμάζομαι για το καπιτονάρισμα (quilting). Βάζω ενδιάμεσα μια λεπτή βάτα.

I am getting ready for the quilting. I put a thin piece of batting between the two pieces of fabric.

Je me prépare pour le quilting. J'ai mis un petit morceau de batting entre les deux pièces.

Me estoy preparando para el quilting. Puse una fina pieza de bateo entre las dos piezas.

Θα κάνω ελεύθερο καπιτονάρισμα και για το λόγο αυτό πρέπει με κάποιο τρόπο να ξέρω πού έχω βάλει από τη μέσα πλευρά τα λάστιχα, για να μην περάσω από πάνω τους. Ετσι, βάζω από την καλή μεριά καρφίτσες για να ξέρω πού βρίσκονται.

I am going to make free motion quilting and for this reason I need to know where I placed the elastic pieces from the inner side. Therefore I put needles on the exterior side

Je vais faire quilting en mouvement libre et pour cette raison, j'ai besoin de savoir où j'ai placé les pièces élastiques du côté intérieur. C' est pourquoi je mets des épingles au cote extérieur.

Haré acolchado de movimiento libre y por esta razón necesito saber dónde estan las piezas elásticas de la parte interior. Por eso puse pasadores en el lado exterior.

Προσοχή στην τσέπη. Είναι ακόμα ραμένη μόνο στο φερμουάρ, για να κάνω πρώτα το καπιτονάρισμα

Attention to the pocket. It has to be tied to the base only on the upper side in order to be free to make the quilt.

Attention à la poche. Elle doit être liée uniquement du cote du fermoir pour pouvoir faire le quilting sans obstacles.

Atención al bolsillo. Tiene que estar atado solamente con la parte de la cremallera porque necessitamos libertad para hacer el quilting.

Κάνω το καπιτονάρισμα, ράβω και τις άλλες 3 πλευρές της τσέπης και καθαρίζω τις άκρες από τα περισσέματα

I make the quilting and then I sew the other 3 sides of the pocket and clean the edges of any trim.

Je fais le quilting et puis je couds les 3 autres côtés de la poche et je nettoie les bords.

Hago el quilting y luego coser los otros 3 lados del bolsillo y limpio los bordes.

Τα επόμενα βήματα πιο συνοπτικά. Κόβουμε δυο κομμάτια από που έχουν το μήκος της βάσης χωρίς την τσέπη και φάρδος το μισό της βάσης. Τα στριφώνουμε από τη μία μακριά πλευρά και τις δύο κοντές και τα ράβουμε με την αστρίφωτη πλευρά στη μακριά πλευρά της βάσης. Τα κομμάτια αυτά θα χρησιμοποιούνται για να σκεπάζουμε τα εργαλεία, πριν ρολάρουμε τη θήκη.

The next steps: Cut two pieces having the length of the base without the pocket and the half width of the base. Make the hem on one long side and the short sides and sew the other side to the long side of the base. These pieces will be used to cover the tools before we roll the pouch.

Les étapes suivantes: Couper deux morceaux ayant la longueur de la base sans la poche et la demi-largeur de la base. Faire l'ourlet sur ​​un côté long et les côtés courts et coudre l'autre côté au côté long de la base. Ces pièces seront utilisées pour couvrir les outils avant de rouler la poche.

Los siguientes pasos: Corte dos piezas que tienen la longitud de la base sin el bolsillo y la anchura media de la base. Hacer el dobladillo en uno de los lados largos y los lados cortos y coser el otro lado con el lado largo de la base. Estas piezas se utilizan para cubrir las herramientas antes de enrollar la bolsa.

Ετοιμάζουμε το ρέλι και το ράβουμε γύρω γύρω με το γνωστό τρόπο, για όσους ξέρουν (θα ακολουθήσουν άλλη μέρα οδηγίες για το ρέλι). Εγώ επειδή βρήκα μέσα στο "συρτάρι του χαμού" και μια πολύ παλιά δαντελίτσα που ήταν ίσα ίσα για τις τρεις πλευρές, έραψα πρώτα τη δαντέλα από την εξωτερική πλευρά και μετά έβαλα το ρέλι.

Prepare the binding and sew around the usual way for those who know (another day will follow instructions for binding). I found in my drawer a piece of vintage lace and I first sewed the lace on the outside and then put the binding.

Préparer la liaison et coudre autour de la manière habituelle pour ceux qui connaissent (un autre jour il y aura les instructions pour la liaison). J'ai trouvé dans mon tiroir un morceau de dentelle et j'ai cousu tout d abord la dentelle à l'extérieur et ensuite mettre la liaison.

Preparar la unión y coserla  de la manera usual para los que saben (otro día hara las instrucciones para enlazar). He encontrado en mi cajón un pedazo de encaje vintage y le cosi  en la parte exterior. Luego poner el enlace.

Το αποτέλεσμα με ενθουσίασε και από πλευράς αισθητικής και πρακτικής.

The result was very rewarding.

My first quilt - Το πρώτο μου πάπλωμα

Το πρώτο πράγμα που έκανα στα μαθήματα του πάτσγουωρκ και γι' αυτό πολυαγαπημένο. Όλα ξεκίνησαν όταν η δασκάλα μας η Μυρτώ Βλασσοπούλου, στην οποία αναφέρθηκα ιδιαίτερα στο πρώτο ποστ, μας έφερε μια φωτοτυπία με 9-patch κομμάτια (λέγονται έτσι γιατί το καθένα γίνεται από 9 μικρότερα κομματάκια). Τα έκανα για να εξασκηθώ (είναι αυτά που βλέπετε στο κεντρικό τμήμα του παπλώματος) και μετά σκέφτηκα ότι είναι κρίμα να πάνε χαμένα. Συσκεφθήκαμε στην τάξη με την υπόλοιπη ομάδα κι έτσι ξεκίνησε το πάπλωμά μου. Ό,τι μάθαινα σε κάθε μάθημα, το προσέθετα γύρω γύρω μέχρι να φτάσω στο επιθυμητό μέγεθος. Και ιδού το αποτέλεσμα. Διάφορα υφάσματα βαμβακερά, παλιά και καινούργια, ορισμένα του Kaffe Fassett, που είναι πολύ γνωστός σχεδιαστής υφασμάτων και όχι μόνο και που ξεχωρίζει για τα έντονα χρώματά του και τους ζωντανούς του σχεδιασμούς. Τοσο τα υφάσματα που χρησιμοποίησα όσο και το εσωτερικό είναι 100% βαμβακερά και πλένονται στο πλυντήριο. Ελαφρύ και ό,τι πρέπει για τις μεταβατικές εποχές.

This quilt is the first thing I ever make during patchwork lessons that is why I love it very much. Everything started when our teacher Myrto Vlassopoulou, whom I mentioned in my very first post, brought us a photocopy with 9-patch pieces (they are called like this because each piece is made by 9 smaller pieces). I made them all in order to practice (you can see them in the central part of the quilt). Then I thought I would like to make sth with them. And this is the way I started this quilt. in each lesson I added sth until I got the desired size. And there it is! Various fabrics of cotton, old and new, some of Kaffe Fassett, who is well known among others as textile designer, for his bold colors and vibrant design. All fabrics used and the batting are 100% cotton and machine washable. Very lightweight quilt appropriate for light chilly.

Ce quilt est la première chose que j'ai jamais fait pendant les cours de patchwork et c'est pourquoi je l'aime beaucoup. Tout a commencé quand notre professeur Myrto Vlassopoulou, dont j'ai parlé dans mon premier post, nous a apporté une photocopie de 9-patch pièces (on les appelle comme ça parce que chaque pièce est faite par 9 petits morceaux). Je les ai fait tous pour pratiquer (vous pouvez les voir dans la partie centrale du quilt). Ensuite, j'ai pensé que je voudrais faire qch avec eux. Et c'est de cette façon que j'ai commencé ce quilt. Apres chaque leçon, j'ajoutais quelque chose jusqu'à ce que j'obtienne la taille souhaitée. Et ça y est! Divers tissus de coton, anciens et nouveaux, dont certains Kaffe Fassett, qui est bien connu entre autres en tant que designer textile, par ses couleurs vives et un design dynamique. Tous les tissus utilisés et le bâton sont 100% coton et lavable en machine. Le quilt est très léger.

Este quilt es la primera cosa que hice durante las clases de patchwork que es por eso que lo quiero mucho. Todo comenzó cuando nuestro maestro Myrto Vlassopoulou, quien mencioné en mi primer post, nos trajo una fotocopia con piezas 9-patch (se les llama así porque cada pieza está hecha por 9 piezas más pequeñas). Les hice todas para practicar (se puede verlas en la parte central del quilt). Entonces pensé que me gustaría hacer algo con ellos. Y es asi que comencé mi quilt. Desde cada lección Añadí algo hasta que llegué al tamaño deseado. Y ahí está! Varios tejidos de algodón viejos y nuevos, algunos de Kaffe Fassett, quien es bien conocido entre otros como diseñador de textil, por sus colores vivos y un diseño vibrante. Todos los tejidos utilizados y el bateo son 100% algodón y lavable a máquina.
